During discussion in Czech Parliament, on Thursday 17th January, Philip E. Coyle, former US deputy Defense Secretary, admitted when responding to a question from Britské listy that the US missiles to be deployed in Poland can be fitted with nuclear warheads, thus confirming a Britské listy report about this from as early as 2006. Coyle neverheless added that the United States are not planning to deploy nuclear missiles in Poland. Coyle also confirmed that the US anti-missile system is unreliable and hence cannot be used as a defence system. This follows from the tests that have been carried out to date.
