WHAT'S ON BRITSKÉ LISTY
Answering Petr Nečas
28. 5. 2010
I have also received the email which was published on Britské Listy and that's not fine, because I could consider it as an unwanted email, but I won't.
Nevertheless I think that ODS should show that they have really changed, but should do that as a constructive center right opposition. Only two months of self-cleaning is not enough! Of course they still have to get rid of a series of members, whose faces are firmly connected with the past and whose ways are impossible to change.
It is mistaken to think that if the Social Democrats will form a government such opposition would not be necessary. On the contrary.
This country finds itself in a situation that gives us no other choice. Either it will realistically chose a path of abiding the laws, values and morals or will throttle back in a direction that is not very amusing.
I am a voter weakly on the left of center, I fully respect the right wing opinions from the other parties and that's why I believe that it is not necessary to fight for each vote in every possible and conceivable way, but it is necessary to fight in every possible way to put together a government coalition of common understanding, which leads us through the upcoming difficult times.
The art of governing is an art of consensus and I wish that in the new Low Chamber and even in the Senate that would be the rule. Consensus over very necessary things!! I consider the most important as being:
- fight against corruption in the private and State companies
- fight against tax losses in private and State enterprises
- fight for a fast and objective enforceable law
- fight for a sensible pension reform
- an effective health system with a central supplier and a general insurance
- fully accessible education for all
The party which will have that clearly written in their program has a chance, and even more that party which has that as their main points. That's my answer to your plea for my vote. That's how I understood from your email.
