Greens protest against current Minister of Agriculture being picked for the post
Czech President Václav Klaus has accepted interim prime minister Jan Fischer's appointment of the current Minister of Agriculture, Jakub Šebesta for the Environment Ministry. Jan Dusík quit the position last week in a row with the premier over the modernization of a controversial power plant.
Dusík did not want to give permitts to power giant ČEZ, based on a report of Norwegian consulting company DNV, which said the project submitted by them did not meet the requirements for the best available technology.
Fischer said he would leave the decision on the project to the new minister.
Greens leader Ondřej Liška said he was appalled at Fischer's step.
