Univerzita ve Florencii hledá postgraduanta se znalostí médií ve střední EvropěRobert Schuman Centre, středisko, které je součástí European University Institute ve Florencii, hledá pracovníka, nejlépe postgraduálního studenta, jehož úkolem bude připravit předběžný dokument o sdělovacích prostředcích v zemích, připravujících se na vstup do EU, pro konferenci, která se má konat v listopadu 2002. Advertisement for appointment of Research AssistantRobert Schuman Centre for Advanced StudiesContract: Full time for 3 months starting 1st Septembrer 2002. Director of project: Prof. Horgan and Dr. Harcourt Title of project: GEMI - Government, Enlargement and the Media: an AM funded by the CEC under the Fifth Framework. Job description: Preparation of preliminary research document for two-day workshop to be held at RSCAS in late November on Government, Media and Enlargement Issues. Establishing informal contact with a number of other CEC-funded projects (EURONAT,IDNET, EUROPUB) and relevant organisations in the CEE countries. Collating and writing research document based on public domain material available from these and other relevant projects; creating a structured bibliography around the key issues concerned; and revising and extending document as required by academic Director. Project administration tasks to be undertaken; organisation of conference; coordination with RSCAS administrative and technical staff. Qualifications: Expertise on media and governance issues in EU and CEE countries. Willingness to take initiative and responsibility and also work under pressure. Expert knowledge of Microsoft office software package, e-mail and internet use. Good publication record. Relevant administrative experience an advantage. Languages : Fluent English, and one Eastern European language preferred. Good knowledge of accession issues and CEE generally an advantage. Please send Curriculum vitae to the attention of A.
