The Islamic State propaganda has been wildly successful in Central Europe:

An overwhelming majority of Czechs think that the refugees are the same security threat as the Islamic state

30. 11. 2015

77 per cent of Czechs believe that the refugees escaping war and persecution in the Middle East are the same security threat for the Czech Republic as ISIL; 88 per cent of Czechs are convinced that the refugees are the same threat to European security as ISIL. Only 2 per cent of Czechs think that the refugees and ISIL are not a threat. Both the refugees and ISIL are equally seen by the Czechs as a major global threat.

In comparison to previous months, the attitude of the Czech citizens towards the refugees has hardened in November 2015. 59 per cent of Czechs are now convinced that the Czech Republic should never accept refugees from the countries afflicted by war. Only 4 per cent of Czechs would allow the refugees to settle in the Czech Republic permanently.

74 per cent of Czechs follow the refugee situation actively and hold strong views about it.

The Czech Republic and Slovakia are more hostile to the refugees than Poland and Hungary.

The Czech CVVM polling agency questioned 1054 Czech respondents in the period from 2nd-9th November 2015. The polling was carried out before the Paris attacks.
